| Riggs is an 8-year old black male who was
surrendered to us by his owner, along with his "sister", Becca. He is a
pretty big boy, about 100 pounds, and is currently on a diet. He needs
to lose about 10-15 pounds, but will still be a fairly good sized
labbie. He is an absolute gentle giant. He does amazingly well with
smaller dogs, loves kids, does very well on leash, knows basic
commands and loves to go in the car. He is housebroken and has had no
accidents in the house. In fact, I have left him out during the day
while I am at work and he has done just fine on his own. The owner told
us he would not go in or out of a door without a command nor would he
eat until given permission to do so. And he is very well trained in
both these areas. Unfortunately they neglected to tell me what the
command was and he and his sister Becca are so well trained that they
need to hear the EXACT command. It took me about 45 minutes that first
night to discover that the command was "okay". Poor baby just stood
there and stared at me in front of his food dish that whole time waiting
to eat. He does have one teeny issue - he is terrified of wood floors
and some tile floors. I have had to build a "bridge" of throw rugs to
get him to walk the 3 feet through my kitchen to the garage door. Other
than that, this guy is a total love muffin. Get you app in on this guy
fast. A boy this sweet won't last for long.
