| QT is a 2 year old yellow male pulled from a local shelter. He likes dogs and is outgoing. He is currently recovering from
a severe ear infection. He is a high energy dog and loves to run.
He is also a fanatical fetcher and may bark at you when he wants to play
which might frighten small children. He likes the water though
from his splashing it is apparent that he hasn't spent much time in
water over his head before. He knows sit and pillow now and will settle
in the house. He walks good on a halti. He has an incredible
vertical jump so he may need a six foot fence. He is in the lanky stage
that occurs right before they start bulking out around two to two and a
half. He is food and toy motivated and once his energy level is
diminished with a good run, he learns quickly. He will be easy to
train because he is food motivated. He always acts like he is starving
and will gobble his food. He does need to be reminded to be gentle
before taking treats. He is not food aggressive. He goes to the back
door, sits with his back to the door facing you and whines when he wants
to go outside. He crates great and will run into his crate (gets
fed there), though every now and again he will get lonely and howl like
a wolf. He will also sleep on a pillow in a bedroom though he will
try to get on the bed a couple of times right after you turn out the
lights but he will settle on his pillow when scolded. With a little work
(primarily draining excess energy) he will be a great dog. He is
also bird motivated.
