Meet Jessie, she is around 2 years old and is a "special needs" dog. She
came to LR from a shelter in November. When she came to us she was
unable to hear, after treating her ear infections, her hearing wasn't
improving like it should. Jessie suffers from seizures which caused
temporary hearing loss. Her seizures were not frequent, but were severe.
However, we're happy to report since starting her medication in
December, she can hear and has had no seizures! The medication is
inexpensive, can be picked up at your local pharmacy, and it's as simple
as a pill twice a day. Now let's talk about Jessie the dog, she is
as sweet as they come. She loves to lay her head in your lap for some
lovins. She sleeps in her crate at night and spends her day
outside(weather permitting) with the other dogs. She is great with all
the dogs she lives with and she loves kids. She is now playing with toys
and chasing the other dogs, it's amazing to see her acting like a silly
dog and she continues to improve each day. Sweet Jessie's future was
uncertain when she first came to us, but we feel she will make a loving
companion for someone. It will require a special person who is willing
to see that she gets her meds each day and understands her needs, maybe
that's you. Come out and meet this sweet girl for yourself.
