Josh is a lab rescued from a shelter in Arkansas. He appears to be around 5. He loves to ride in cars. He is a calm lab. He is house trained. He ignores cats. He does fine with other dogs as long as they don't get right in his face though he will tolerate puppies jumping and pawing his face. He takes treats gently and will place his paw on your leg or nudge your hand when he wants you to pet him. He walks good on a leash. He must have been left out in a storm when he was a puppy because he is thunderphobic. He does well in a modified plastic crate during storms (he now curls in a ball in the back and sleeps instead of chewing, shaking and breaking off teeth - he also no longer needs anxiety medicine during storms) and he is improving every day. At the first crack of thunder, he usually heads for his crate. He would do well in a house with older children.
