Say hello to Millie! She is a 2 year old, sweet as chocolate
girl who came to us from a good Samaritan who found her and
wanted her to have a good home. She is fully cured
from severe mange that left her almost bald and very sick.
But as you can see, her coat has come back in wonderfully
and will eventually turn a beautiful darker chocolate color.
She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations and
preventatives and is fully ready for her forever home.
Millie doesn't dig, isn't much of a barker, is crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs and kids. She tolerates the cat, but can play rough at times. Millie is working on potty training and should have it down in no time.. Millie is a
wonderful size. She weighs about 55 pounds and has just a
few more to gain. The only undesirable habit that we are
working on is jumping up to say hello. She only does it
first thing when I arrive home and she is excited. She
prefers more durable toys and finds great joy in unstuffing
the soft ones. Millie needs a little practice on a leash,
but it's nothing that a few walks won't fix.
Come meet Millie at our next event! She is a sweetie, sure
to melt your heart.
Millie suffers from
a condition called entropian. This condition causes her
eyelid to turn inward, resulting in the eyelashes constantly
rubbing on her cornea. This is easily repaired with surgery.
We are currently seeking donations to help pay for this
surgery. Once surgically corrected, her eye will return to
normal. To read more about her condition, click here. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2092&aid=432 Please click the donate bone and help get Millie on the
mend!
Millie has had
surgery on her eyelid and is now on the mend. Any
donations to help cover the cost of her operation are
appreciated.
