After her family lost their home and began living out of their car, they could no longer afford to feed her so she was surrendered to the Tulsa Animal Shelter. She's put on about 25 pounds in 3 weeks. She is a large, yellow female and is seven years old.  Don't let her age deter you, she loves to fetch and enjoys walks (2 1/2 miles). She walks best on a halti. She has been spayed and is current on vaccinations.  She rides great in cars. She likes cats and other dogs as long as they don't get right in her face and pester her.  She loves to be petted (her fur is so soft - it feels like rabbit fur) and is calm except when she first sees you and when feeding time rolls around. Then she bounces around barking excitedly until you tell her stop. She knows a few basic commands and is eager to please.  She doesn't need a crate as she is great in the house and can be left loose during the day, no accidents and no chewing.  She crates great in a plastic crate but should not be crated in a metal one as she panics and attempts to chew and push her way out and will injure herself in the process.    Update:  The scar the vet thought was a spay scar turned out to be a c-section scar - which we discovered when she went into heat.  She has now been spayed.  She also has metal pins and a plate in her back leg from an old injury.  She must have had an excellent surgeon as it does not pain her at all and she doesn't limp.  If she didn't have a long thin scar running up her leg, you'd never know she'd had an injury.  This beautiful dog would love to find a new home.
