Hitch is a gorgeous 3-year old dark chocolate boy who came to us from the Humane Society in Ada.  They fell in love with him and contacted us because they felt he so deserved a good home and a second chance at life.  He loves other dogs, gets along with cats and loves any human that will stop and love on him.  He is housebroken, crate trained, rides very well in the car, does very well on leash and knows sit, down and shake.  He is an absolute love and pretty darn near perfect.  He is very skinny right now, only weighing about 67 pounds.  However, when he puts his weight back on, he will probably be in the 80 pound range.  You might notice his ears appear to be a bit shorter than your typical labbie.  That is because some misguided human in his past decided to crop his ears.  Go figure.  But even cropped ears can't take away from this gorgeous boy's good looks.

Hitchcock has tested positive for Heartworms. He will not be available for adoption for about six weeks as he will be starting his treatment next week.  Heartworms are preventable, all it takes is a pill given by the human caretaker once a month to the dog.  The treatment to clear the dog of the worms is costly and hard on the dogs.  Lab Rescue does not feel this is a reason to euthanize a dog and chooses to treat them, any donations would be appreciated
