Yaffe is a wonderful girl.  She is around 4 years old.  She is a calm girl who is very well-behaved.  She knows sit, down, and stay.  She walks well on or off leash and will not stray from your side.  She does great with other dogs. She also does well with cats.  She is house and crate-trained and so far has shown no interest in chewing anything in the house up.  She is very gentle when she takes treats and will sit down and scoot closer when she wants to be petted.

Unfortunately, Yaffe has tested positive for Heartworms. She will not be available for adoption for about six weeks as she will be starting her treatment next week.  Heartworms are preventable, all it takes is a pill given by the human caretaker once a month to the dog.  The treatment to clear the dog of the worms is costly and hard on the dogs.  Lab Rescue does not feel this is a reason to euthanize a dog and chooses to treat them, any donations would be appreciated.
