Meet Jaxson. He just arrived at Lab Rescue so please check back in a few days for more information after his foster family has had time to get acquainted with him.

He has tested positive for Heartworms. Heartworms are preventable, all it takes is a pill given by the human caretaker once a month to the dog.  The treatment to clear the dog of the worms is costly and hard on the dogs.  Lab Rescue does not feel this is a reason to euthanize a dog and chooses to treat them, any donations would be appreciated.

Jaxson is approximately 20 months old. He is house trained and crate trained. We only crate him when we go to work. He sleeps in a dog bed at night and does perfect. He LOVES kids. He loves to be petted and will bark at someone until they pet him. After you pet him he is fine. He loves to play with other dogs and can entertain himself with a ball or toy. He is very energetic and needs a lot of exercise. Plus he knows a few commands. Jaxson is a very sweet labbie and a beautiful color. He has finished his heartworm treatment and waiting on his forever family.
