Meet Barley.  He came to us from an owner who was going to shoot him if we didn't take him.  He's a very lucky young guy!  He'll get to eat biscuits instead of lead.
Barley is one of the "Marley" puppies you saw advertised everywhere right after the movie came out.  He's 9 months old, neutered, and up to date on all his shots.  He's housebroken and crate trained.  He loves water, gets along with other dogs, and likes going for walks and rides in the car.  He's a typical adolescent male labbie.
Barley is a little mouthy, still plays like a little puppy.  We are working to correct that behavior.  Now that he's getting to be a big boy, he's learning how to "play nice" with people.  Once that's corrected, he'll be a great dog.
If you're looking for a sweet, active boy, Barley is your guy.  Come out to our next adoption event and meet him.

UPDATE - Barley has been making great progress.  He quickly learned not to nip or jump.  He knows sit, off, and not to beg at the table.  Like all puppies, he would benefit from an obedience class.  He likes to talk to you to get attention and while he's playing.  He's not a constant barker, but is more vocal than the average dog.  He's a bit clumsy and awkward so would do better with older children, as he might accidentally knock over smaller children.
He loves water and playing with his foster brothers.  He would love to go camping, jogging, to the lake or wherever with you.  If you're looking for a companion for your active young dog, Barley's your boy!  Come out to the next event and meet him.
