Meet Allister. He is a Lab/Weimaraner mix and 2 years old. Most people that see him say he looks exactly like a black Weimaraner --sleek coat so no shedding! He came in with heartworms which we treated him for and is healthy now. He was young and lanky and goofy when we first got him but he has learned his manners and is very eager to please. He loves every dog he has met "off lead". When he's on a leash, he's a little scared of other big dogs but if you let him out with a dog he doesn't know, they just sniff and then start playing! He is being fostered with Rock right now and they were instant buddies. Dragon was here for a bit and they were best buds too. He gets along with my dogs as well (males and females). He is fine with cats, kids (but not the little ones--he hasn't quite got used to his bigger body)--loves water, loves to go for runs and fetch and is a great guard dog too. I feel safe when he is with me. He will make someone their perfect new best buddy. I am taking him to a beginner's obedience class at Tulsa Dog Training Club. It's on Tuesday nights at 8:15--come out and watch him in action--he's sooooo smart!
