Chekov is a 5 yr old male labbie who came to Lab Rescue with his companions Bones and Sulu after their owner passed away.  Chekov is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment.  Otherwise his health is good and he will be available for adoption when it's complete.  Chekov is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on shots.  If you're looking for a good natured, sweet boy who likes being with other dogs, Chekov is the one for you.
Chekov has tested positive for Heartworms. Heartworms are preventable, all it takes is a pill given by the human caretaker once a month to the dog.  The treatment to clear the dog of the worms is costly and hard on the dogs.  Lab Rescue does not feel this is a reason to euthanize a dog and chooses to treat them, any donations would be appreciated.
UPDATE: Chekov has completed his Heartworm treatment, has received a clean bill-of-health, and is now ready to find his FURever home!
