Angelica is a sweet 6 year who certainly does not act her age.  She loves to play with her foster brother who is 5 months old and play fetch.  Having a ball is her 2nd joy in life - 1st, of course, is FOOD!  She hasn't met a dog or person she didn't like.  She'll keep your coffee table clean with that wagging tail of hers.  She's been though obedience class because she knows sit, down, shake and I'm sure stay.  She's house broke and crate trained.  If you want a dog that's out of the chewing puppy stage - Angelica is your girl.
Angelica has tested positive for Heartworms. Heartworms are preventable, all it takes is a pill given by the human caretaker once a month to the dog.  The treatment to clear the dog of the worms is costly and hard on the dogs.  Lab Rescue does not feel this is a reason to euthanize a dog and chooses to treat them, any donations would be appreciated.
UPDATE: Angelica has completed treatment and is now heartworm free! She does have one minor medical issue that is controlled with daily oral medication. Beautiful Angelica continues to do well in her foster home. She has a happy, easy going personality. She gets along with people of all ages and likes hanging out with both male and female dogs. Some of her favorites include mealtime, going for walks, and plush toys with loud squeakers. When she came to her foster home she already knew 'sit' and 'down'. Somewhere in her past, she must have had someone that cared about her. That she ended up a stray picked up by animal control was heartbreaking. Please consider meeting Angelica to see if she could fit in your family forever.
