Meet Dean he is about 3 years old and a sweetheart. He is housebroken and crate trained - although he can be a little stubborn about getting in it.  He loves to play with everybody kids, cats, dogs, and doesn't mind a lizard either.  When I got him he was very skinning but with a lot of hard work and love he is putting on the pounds.
Dean came to Lab Rescue with heartworms and is currently undergoing his last treatment and will be available for adoption soon.  Dean would do great as an only dog, but also would love to have a play mate.  He does know some basic commands and he would do great in obedience class. Please put your app in soon.
UPDATE - Dean has completed his heartworm treatment and is now ready for adoption.  Come out to our next adoption event and meet this sweet boy.  You'll love him.
Heartworms are totally preventable by simply giving a pill once a month to a dog.  Heartworms are only transmitted by the bite of a mosquito so it doesn't matter if the dog is inside or outside, he/she still needs protection.  Treatment for heartworms is costly, any donations or sponsorships are appreciated.
