Meet Winnie a 3-4 month old beautiful puppy. She was found by some good people at Wolfe Point Industrial Park and had been attacked by something or someone. Winnie had some small puncture wounds on her neck but it has been treated and soon the hair will cover the area. She was very afraid of people especially men but now is doing well. She is very sensitive when you raise your voice even if its not at her. But I'm sure her situation of being dumped and nearly starving had some people yelling at her and trying to run her off when she approached them. Now she is finding out people are not so bad after going into a foster home. Sometimes she can get overwhelmed when people visit the house and she wants to hide but time and lots of love will help her overcome. She does great in social places like the pet store. Winnie wags her tail at everyone and walks up to kids to give kisses.
She is very smart and learned sit very quickly. It helps that she is very food motivated so commands will be easy to learn. Winnie is a calm puppy in the house and LOVES other dogs. The tails of the other dogs are one of her favorite toys. She likes to play fetch but will skin a tennis ball if left unattended.  She is in the process of being potty trained and does hold herself all night. She doesn't mind sleeping in her crate and sleeps till about 8:00 am.
