No, you are not seeing things.  Pebbles is a 10-year old female Beagle that we rescued from a local shelter along with her "brother" Bubba, a 12-year old Lab.  Pebbles, along with Bubba, was given to the shelter by her owners who initially stated they could not keep her because their children had developed allergies.  An individual who knew the family that surrendered the dogs visited the shelter and told workers there that the true reason the dogs were surrendered was so that the owners could purchase a new puppy for the children.  I initially went to the shelter to pull Bubba but when I saw Pebbles' sad little eyes, I just couldn't leave her.  She deserves much better than that.
Pebbles is a very well mannered, housebroken female Beagle.  She is a real sweetheart and quite the little snuggles.  I understand that Pebbles is epileptic, although I have seen no signs in the week she has been with me.  I am currently trying to track down her original medical records but if not found, Lab Rescue will have her tested and put her on the appropriate meds.  Please give this darling little girl a chance to live out the rest of her life in a loving forever home.
