Hugger, an adorable 6 1/2 month old black female purebred lab, came to us when family travel got in the way of them keeping her. She is the sister of Giza, but definitely has her own personality separate from her blonde sibling.
She was aptly named as she loves to try to hug you with her front paws. I've almost got that corrected, but if you sit on the floor, it's at your own peril. She'll crawl into your lap and curl up just like a chihuahua would.
Hugger is almost housetrained. No accidents have occurred in the past two days, but there's not much room for error in my house. I want my labbies to be successful and she's really taking this part like a pro.
She loves to chase the tennis ball and will bring it right back to you, plus she loves rolling in the grass playing with my one year old female labbie. For a pup, she's very calm in the house, but does crave canine companionship. If you're a one-dog home, I would recommend finding neighborhood playmates or take her to supervised doggie day-camps.
If you're serious about taking in a young puppy and continue the training necessary to make her a good canine citizen, the look no further. Hugger is your girl. She's up-to-date on shots and spayed. |
