Meet Crossy - yes, she comes by her name "naturally". She is a 2 yr old chocolate female, with crossed-eyes. They are permanently crossed - not sure why - but it does not slow her down. She recently had puppies and was ready for a spa day at the pet resort, and some time to regain her girlish figure so lab rescue chauffeured her to the resort for her special day and her new leash on life. She is 82 pounds of sweet chocolate! She is laid back, likes to be around people, and wants to relax with her head in your lap.
Update: March 9 -- Crossy is sweet, mello and a great labbie. Since having her puppies and going into foster her personality has bloomed and she is happy and very playful. She's not too thrilled about car rides but we are working on that by taking her as much as we can to hopefully break her from being so nervous. She is housebroken, gets along with her foster family, which consists of 2 labs, 1 great dane and 5 cats. She loves people and if you show her love and attention you will receive the same in return. She doesn't chew, she loves soft toys and if you happen to be missing or have lost socks she will retrieve them for you. Crossy needed us more than we knew at the time of her rescue.
Crossy has been diagnosed with one poorly functioning hip that will be supported with supplementation and should be kept pain free on days it is giving her some issues. She will be adopted as special needs, and her forever home will require that she be loved as is, which is a whole lot of lovin from her. She is a wonderful, laid back girl that is sweet as pie. This will not be the end of her road, but a new beginning for her. |
