Hello there my name is Brea, pronouced Bree. I am a 1 1/2 year old
Chesepeake Bay Retriever who came from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My
family bought me as a hunting dog but because my breeder never socialized
me I have been scared of just about everything. My family has a
handicapped child and didn't think that is was fair for me to live with them
any longer because they could not give me the attention and
socialization I need so desperately. I can sit, lay down, and stay when in an
enclosed area. If the door is open I will bolt out, and if I don't know
you very well I will not come back. I am house broken very well, and
love my crate. I get along with other dogs, and cats. I love babies and
children. Remember my handicapped human I told you about, well he
could test God's patients, and I loved him the most. I am still getting
used being inside the house full time, because alot of things scare me.
I get along with women better than men, but enjoy everyone once
I get to know them. I will need to go to a family who has other dogs
who are not timid, but are very secure in the world. It is important
that who ever adopts me is willing to pick-up where my foster family
leaves off in my socialization training. We have currently been in touch
with Pooches and have been working on thier suggestions. I would be
ideal for someone who is low key and has a medium pace life. I do not
join the other dogs at the events beacause of my insecurities, but can be
seen at my foster moms home at anytime. Just ask LB for me. I look
forward to meeting you, and can't wait to come home. |
