The fee schedule for adopting dogs in 2012 is as follows:

• Adult Dogs $200, Puppies $225, $175,Senior and Special Needs Labs per board discretion,
• The Adoption Fee Donation is due on the date of adoption and is non-refundable.
• Your donation helps cover the cost of vaccinations, heartworm tests and treatment, orthopedic surgeries, medications, spays or neuters, dog food & dog supplies.
• Lab Rescue spends over $40,000 per year on medical bills alone.

I wouldn't  do this to a dog-but you do by ignoring puppy mills. Please get involved,  just a letter to your State Congress Person is a start.
